The internet was recently sent into a minor pop-culture frenzy when a resurfaced, ultra-candid moment involving Hollywood superstar Jennifer Lawrence and Kourtney Kardashian sparked unexpected drama. And Kourtney’s sister and reality television icon Kim Kardashian has not taken it lightly.
Kim Kardashian accuses sister Kourtney of sabotaging Jennifer Lawrence friendship, per source
During a famously unfiltered lie-detector test for Vanity Fair, Lawrence didn’t hold back her thoughts on the Kardashian clan. While she expressed a clear soft spot for Kim and Khloé, she didn’t hesitate to target Kourtney, playfully declaring that the latter had become “more annoying than ever.”
Naturally, when the clip dropped, it quickly went viral across social media platforms, capturing the attention of millions. And now, in an episode of The Kardashians, viewers got a front-row seat to Kourtney’s initial reaction to the playful roast and how Kim felt about it.
“My mom [Kris Jenner] wrote something, like, ‘Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone, I talked to them last night, they’re the best,’ and I go, ‘[expletive] that [expletive] Jennifer Lawrence,'” the Poosh founder recalled, per People. “‘I’ll [expletive] slap the [expletive] out of her.’ I was like, ‘Invite her over and we can … I’ll go for it like she’s my sister.'”
Despite things taking a lighthearted turn behind the scenes. Eager to clear the air, Jennifer Lawrence had personally reached out to Kim to secure Kourtney’s email address.
The Hunger Games star sent a thoughtful, apologetic message explaining that she deeply admired the family and genuinely felt “like one of the sisters.”
However, Kim is far from amused by how the situation played out on television. She had “hit the roof when she saw the episode,” spills the source. “Talking about slapping Jennifer is not cool. Kourtney played it off like it was a joke when Kim confronted her over it, but everyone can see there is some serious anger, which is a little ridiculous considering the Oscar winner had apologized ten times over.”
