Meghan Markle could reportedly receive a huge TV offer to revisit the role that made her famous. A new report claims executives plan to offer the Duchess of Sussex $5 million for a return to Suits. The proposed Meghan Markle Suits deal would center on a two-hour reunion special in the UK. However, Markle has not publicly confirmed the project or accepted an offer.
Meghan Markle reportedly set to be offered $5 million salary for a two-hour special ‘Suits’ reunion
According to The Express US, TV executives plan to make Meghan Markle an “impossible to refuse” offer. A senior Hollywood source claims NBCUniversal could pay Markle $5 million for the two-hour Suits reunion.
Sources claim the network also wants to shoot the entire project in the UK. That arrangement would let Markle remain close to Prince Harry and their children. A production source told the outlet that NBCUniversal could give the special a “substantial budget.”
Patrick J. Adams could also join the reunion as Mike Ross, opposite Markle’s Rachel Zane. The report claims Adams previously pitched revival ideas to Suits creator Aaron Korsh. Korsh now reportedly favors a UK storyline involving Mike and Rachel in an international legal case.
The Meghan Markle Suits reunion report comes amid growing speculation about her acting career. Recent reports claim Markle has considered several acting offers while reading scripts and meeting creatives.
Talk of a Suits comeback has circulated before. Earlier this year, reports claimed Markle had started considering a return for a Suits reunion movie. A lucrative payday reportedly formed part of the appeal.
Still, neither Markle nor NBCUniversal has confirmed the latest TV offer. The Express claims Markle plans to discuss the proposal with her representatives at WME. Meanwhile, executives reportedly hope the $5 million salary and UK filming arrangement will make the offer difficult for her to refuse.
