Elizabeth Holmes’ Trump Love Gets a Suspicious Read From ‘The View’

Elizabeth Holmes’ recent pro-Trump posts caught the attention of The View host Alyssa Farah Griffin. During Friday’s episode, Farah Griffin suggested that the Theranos founder could be trying to position herself for a presidential pardon.

As per The Wrap, the conversation followed an interview President Donald Trump gave to Time Magazine. Trump discussed the possibility of pardoning members of his administration and pointed to former President Joe Biden’s pardons as part of his reasoning.

Farah Griffin rejected Trump’s comparison with Biden. She said, “No, do away with the presidential pardon. That’s my hot take.” She further stated, “And to be clear, Biden pardoned his family and some associates. He did not pardon his entire White House.”

The panel then debated whether presidential pardons could help people who were wrongly accused or imprisoned. However, the hosts also questioned the growing number of pardons issued during Trump’s presidency.

Farah Griffin then brought Holmes into the conversation. “By the way, I don’t know if you guys noticed Elizabeth Holmes of Theranos fame started tweeting some like pro-Trump things recently, so I think she might be also looking for a pardon,” she said with a laugh.

Holmes is currently serving an 11-year prison sentence after her conviction in the Theranos fraud case. Her company, Theranos, once claimed it had developed technology that could perform a wide range of medical tests using small amounts of blood.

Ana Navarro also voiced concerns about the way pardons were being used. “I think something that started as a good thing has become for sale,” she said. “It puts like a ‘for sale’ sign on the White House.”

Navarro continued by pointing to “the number of pardons we are seeing” and “the amount of money that we are learning about” being paid for pardons. She described the situation as “simply outrageous.”

The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC.
