Karoline Leavitt just revealed what she’s been up to since walking away from the White House podium. The former press secretary gave followers a first look at her surprising new project on Instagram.
Karoline Leavitt says she and Nicholas Riccio are renovating their Florida home after her White House departure
Former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt revealed she and her husband, Nicholas Riccio, purchased a Florida property, according to The Daily Beast. Leavitt shared the news through Instagram posts over the weekend. She also announced plans to renovate the home.
Leavitt mentioned the new property while reviewing a baby stroller on her Instagram story. “So many questions about our double stroller! I love the Nuna, but we needed another stroller for our Florida home,” she wrote. She added that she ordered a less expensive option from Amazon since the family would only stay there a few months each year.
On Sunday, she asked her followers about the renovation project directly. “We are renovating our place in Florida. Would you like to follow along?” she posted alongside a poll. She also shared a photo of work already underway at the property.
The 29-year-old has embraced an influencer lifestyle since leaving the White House in August. She departed after 20 months to focus on her two children, son Niko and daughter Viviana. “They’re just at a critical time in their life when they need their mom home a little bit more,” she said during her final Fox and Friends interview.
The couple’s primary residence remains in their native New Hampshire. Riccio, 61, is a property developer with a reported portfolio of about 15 properties. They first met in 2022 at a restaurant Riccio owned while Leavitt campaigned for Congress.
Before her press secretary role, Leavitt served as an assistant press secretary in Trump’s first administration. She also worked as communications director for Rep. Elise Stefanik and as a spokeswoman for Trump’s MAGA Inc. super PAC. She will remain an outside adviser to Trump and return to MAGA Inc. going forward.
