A source told the outlet that the Duke’s approach comes from growing up under constant scrutiny. Meanwhile, Meghan believes a controlled public presence could actually help their children handle public interest later.
According to the source, the disagreement comes from their backgrounds and “almost opposite life experiences.” The insider notes, “Harry never had any say over becoming a public figure.” On the other hand, Meghan’s path into public life was “completely different.” The actress chose it as an adult and “actively built a public profile” in the entertainment industry.
Harry wants to preserve his children’s ability to decide for themselves, later in life, whether they want visibility at all. He reportedly worries that early exposure sets a precedent that becomes difficult to undo. Markle, meanwhile, believes total secrecy might backfire. She counters that a “middle ground” could be better.
