According to The Hill, Angie K. visited Washington, D.C., while continuing her advocacy for franchising. She has worked with the International Franchise Association on the American Franchise Act. The bill, H.R. 5267, addresses federal joint-employer rules for franchises.

The reality star also filmed some of her Capitol Hill activities for RHOSLC. The footage is expected to appear during Season 7. Angie has previously testified before a House committee about franchising. Her testimony focused on franchise ownership and the proposed legislation.

While discussing her latest Washington visit, Angie K. faced a lighter question. She was asked to assess the hair and style of Capitol Hill lawmakers. Her response quickly turned into an unexpected compliment about D.C. women.

“Growing up, I would have not pictured that there were so many stylish women up here looking fabulous,” Angie said. She specifically praised women wearing dresses and suits with great hair. “I’m impressed,” she added.

The comment came during a busy period for the American Franchise Act. The House bill was reported by the Education and the Workforce Committee on September 8 and was then placed on the Union Calendar for further consideration.

The legislation would clarify when franchisors can be treated as joint employers. It would require substantial, direct, and immediate control over employment conditions. The proposal has drawn support from the International Franchise Association.

Angie has made franchising advocacy part of her public profile alongside reality television. Her Capitol Hill work gives RHOSLC a different storyline this season. Meanwhile, her fashion assessment offered a lighter moment during the political discussions.

Her comments also showed how Angie’s salon background intersects with her advocacy work. She runs Lunatic Fringe and has spoken about franchise ownership before Congress. Viewers can expect those worlds to overlap on RHOSLC.
