Taylor Swift’s “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” sketch at the 2026 Emmys was reportedly so top secret that even members of the show’s cast were kept in the dark. NBC recently shared a video of the hilarious skit on Instagram, with the caption, “Taylor Swift is wanted at the Emmys.”
The clip showed the SVU squad attempting to solve the mystery of whether the singer-songwriter would appear at the Emmy Awards. The actors even had two full crime boards prepared as they pieced together clues, eventually taking inspiration from Swifties to crack the case.
As the sketch unfolded, Swift shocked the cast by making a surprise appearance alongside the “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” stars. The singer-songwriter portrayed a rookie officer who joined the team as they attempted to solve the mystery. Swift’s cat, Olivia Benson, also made a surprise appearance during the sketch, paying homage to Mariska Hargitay’s character of the same name on the long-running crime drama.
According to Page Six, Ice-T, who plays Fin Tutuola on the series, revealed that producers had made it clear to the cast that the skit was going to be a “top secret.” The rapper and actor told the outlet, “I had no idea what it was.”
He continued, “And then when we got there, Taylor Swift was there.” Ice-T also praised Swift’s professionalism, describing her as a “true professional” while on set.
