General Hospital’s Kirsten Storms shares police report as custody case takes new turn

General Hospital star Kirsten Storms publicly shared a police report linking an alleged break-in to her ongoing custody dispute.

Storms, who last aired as Maxie Jones in March 2026, posted a December 3, 2025, Franklin Police Department report on Instagram. The report documented police follow-up to a November 22 call about a possible burglary at her Tennessee apartment. “I’m only doing this because that lead to an unnecessary custody case being filed against me,” she wrote.

Her ex-husband Brandon Barash previously obtained an emergency restraining order against Storms, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. Barash expressed concern about Storms’s ability to care for their daughter, Harper. He also requested that she undergo a mental-health evaluation.

Storms pushed back against the use of her mental health in connection with the break-in. “When ‘mental health illness’ is used as a reason to disregard a very real crime, like a burglary & break-in, that I was working to resolve with the apartment building and the Franklin Police Department, it is offensive,” she wrote. She also noted that she now faces mediation rather than a judge.

According to the police report, Storms told officers she had been away for work and medical treatment from August 1 through August 9. Upon returning, she noticed damage around the deadbolt lock on her apartment door. Several missing items later turned up inside her vehicle.

Storms said her Jeep Wrangler’s doors had been removed at the time, allowing access. “That was how someone was able to continue to give the items back that were removed from my apartment,” she explained. She also reported unknown devices connected to her Wi-Fi router. The report notes that police had not processed the apartment as of December 3 due to ongoing maintenance and elapsed time.
