Britney Spears celebrated her sons’ birthdays with emotional messages online. The singer also appeared to turn her attention toward her estranged father, Jamie Spears. Her remarks were made in a now-deleted post in which she wrote about her family and her childhood. Spears also shared loving birthday wishes for her two sons.

In the deleted post, Spears appeared to reflect on Jamie’s influence during her 13-year conservatorship. She wrote about Jayden and recalled how he pushed her as she began using her “own feet” without anyone guiding her. Spears then appeared to address her father directly. “GUIDE ME AND LEAD ME WITH YOUR FEET FOR YOUR NAMESAKE,” she wrote.
Spears also talked about limitations she faced in the past. “For 15 years I was never allowed to say my name in the land of the free and travel spontaneously,” she wrote. She said her trips involved work for her father and mother. Spears also described traveling to Mexico as an experience that made her feel like she had reached “cloud 9.”
“I could feel my inner child 100 percent awaken and never felt so alive,” Spears wrote. She then appeared to question Jamie’s health and his past role in her life. “I wonder why god took my father’s legs away?” she wrote. Spears added, “Ps… cus I can go wherever I want now, SO GRATEFUL!!”
The post also featured a picture of Spears with her sons on vacation. Spears separately celebrated Jayden with a birthday message and said she hoped to be the “best mommy” she could be. “Happy birthday to my handsome young boy,” she wrote, adding that “we have this beautiful thing called life in front of us.” Spears’ birthday messages kept the focus on her sons, while her comments about Jamie and her past added an emotional edge to the celebration.
