NeNe Leakes has returned to the Bravo world, but she does not want a full-time role on RHOA. The reality star recently appeared on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th. Her return brought fresh questions about a possible comeback to The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Leakes, however, says she would rather keep her Bravo appearances limited.
NeNe Leakes says she would rather make occasional RHOA appearances than return full time
During an interview with Atlanta’s “Big Tigger Morning Show,” Leakes explained where she stands. She said she would enjoy spending time with her former castmates without becoming a full-time Housewife again. “I’ll go and play with them,” Leakes said. But she added, “as far as me actually holding a peach and all over here with y’all sitting on the couch… uh, no girl.”
Leakes also explained why she does not want the full-time role. “I can’t do that. That’ll drive me crazy,” she said. The RHOA original also explained that her decision isn’t rooted in anger towards the franchise. “I’m not holding any grudges,” Leakes explained.
Leakes said she once struggled with how things ended but has since moved forward. “At first I felt some kind of way for a while, because you have to get over things, right?” she said. “But I have healed from that. I have moved on.” She now feels that the show’s usual conflicts no longer fit her life.
“I know being on the show there’s a lot of arguing, there’s a lot of disagreeing, there’s a lot of ganging up, there’s a lot of alliances, and I don’t want to be a part of that,” Leakes said. Instead, she would prefer to join the women for a trip, enjoy herself and then go home. “I’m just not that right now in my life. I’m not there. That’s not where I want to be, right? she said.
NeNe Leakes’ comments make it clear that she is comfortable with occasional RHOA appearances but has no desire to return full time.
