Andrew Garfield and several other stars were on a flight that made an emergency landing. The Amazing Spider-Man star boarded a Delta Airlines flight that experienced an electrical issue. The plane had to take an emergency detour to resolve the issue.
According to TMZ, on Wednesday afternoon, Garfield was on a Delta Boeing 767 flight from LAX to New York’s JFK airport. However, a smoky odor was detected in the aircraft, forcing the airline to land at Albuquerque International Sunport in New Mexico.
Although no one was injured, Delta apologized to its passengers in a statement provided to Entertainment Weekly. It read, “We apologize to our customers on Delta Flight 958 (LAX to JFK) on September 9, which diverted to Albuquerque due to a smoky odor in the aircraft. The aircraft landed uneventfully, and our teams worked to re-accommodate customers as quickly as possible to their final destinations.”
Who else was on Andrew Garfield’s flight?
Andrew Garfield was not the only celebrity on Delta Flight 958. Adults star Owen Thiele was also among the passengers on board. Thiele posted about the incident on his Instagram. The actor’s post contained images aboard the flight and from when they landed in Albuquerque.
Thiele also documented his experience after the flight’s diversion. In his posts, the actor documented befriending fellow passengers and taking an impromptu trip to Dave & Buster’s. Additionally, Love, Simon’s Nick Robinson was also on board. After the plane landed safely at New York’s JFK airport, the stars shared a selfie captioned, “Survivors of 958.”
The 29-year-old wrote, “Andrew Garfield on my flight. If the plane went down, it would’ve said Andrew Garfield and others. Nick Robinson here too. Andrew Garfield, Nick Robinson and others.”
The singer Mark Ambor and Love Island USA contestant Dylan Wrona were also among the passengers. Entertainment Weekly reached out to the stars’ representatives. However, no response has been provided yet.
