RHONY’s Sai De Silva Drops the Facade as She Opens Up About Painful Divorce

Sai De Silva is finally opening up about the end of her marriage. The RHONY star intentionally kept her relationship private for years. Now, she is sharing what led to her separation from David Craig. She also explained why she chose to speak publicly.

Sai De Silva says she is speaking candidly about her divorce after intentionally keeping her marriage private.

De Silva married Craig nine years before their divorce filing. She rarely featured him on her social media platforms. His appearances also remained limited after she joined RHONY in 2023. The couple shares two children, London and Rio.

Craig filed for divorce on April 2, according to court records. The case was listed as contested at the time. De Silva remained quiet about the situation for several months. She eventually discussed their separation during the season 16 premiere.

“We’ve completely drifted apart,” she said on RHONY. “We do nothing together.” She told Jessel Taank that she requested the separation. De Silva also described feeling alone while managing work, their home, and their children.

The reality star later explained what prompted her decision. “I just felt very lonely in my marriage,” she told People. “What I realized is if you’re not watering the seed, it’s not going to grow. And I think for both of us, we were no longer maintaining that marriage on both sides,” she shared. De Silva accepted responsibility for her part in the marriage’s breakdown.

De Silva said her children influenced her decision to separate. She believed they could see that she was unhappy. The reality star wanted them to see their parents living happier lives. She also refused to publicly criticize Craig.

“I’m just so tired of the facade,” De Silva told PEOPLE. She said she no longer wants to pretend everything remains together. “So here I am breathing it all, telling my all.”

De Silva also wants to discuss financial lessons from her marriage. She plans to encourage women to discuss money and prenups. She stressed that marriage involves legal and financial decisions.

For now, she is adjusting to her new life with her children. She remains open to dating someday but feels no rush. The RHONY star said she remains a “hopeless romantic.”
