Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Move Back May Be About More Than Ending Royal Feud — Former Friend

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s move to the UK might not be just about ending the royal feud. According to the Duchess of Sussex’s former friend, the family returned to the Duke’s home country for another purpose. They claimed that the couple decided to be near King Charles so their kids could spend time with their grandfather. The latest update comes amid the palace’s confirmation that the Sussexes would remain non-working royals.

Meghan Markle’s former friend reveals real reason she and Prince Harry moved to the UK

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently moved back to the UK after leaving in 2020. In July, they met King Charles and Queen Camilla privately with their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. A month later, the Sussexes shocked everyone with their decision to return to Britain. While many speculated the reason was to end the royal feud, a former friend of Meghan revealed the truth.

During a conversation with Cafe Casino, Nick Ede opened up about the real reason. He claimed that the Sussexes’ return would help Charles “build a genuine relationship with his grandchildren” (via the Express). Since the family moved to California, the King rarely met Archie and Lilibet. They got to spend time together in July when the Sussexes visited the palace.

Despite the rare visits, Harry reportedly decided to move back so his father could spend time with his grandkids more often. “Being geographically closer would allow the King to build a genuine relationship with his grandchildren rather than seeing them only occasionally,” Ede said. “A greater UK presence could be extremely positive for Harry’s relationship with his father. Reconciliation rarely happens through one dramatic summit; it normally develops through repeated, private and relatively ordinary contact.”

Meanwhile, the King’s letter after Harry’s return has recently created buzz. It stated that there would be no changes in the Sussexes’ royal status and that they would be treated as “private citizens.”
