Hunter King made a surprising confession about her sister Joey King‘s wedding. The actresses compared their celebrations during a recent podcast appearance. Hunter quickly picked Joey’s wedding as the better one. She then joked about what her husband Chris Copier might think.
Hunter King says sister Joey King’s 2023 wedding was better than her own
Hunter and Joey discussed their weddings during the September 8 episode of Sibling Revelry. Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson hosted the conversation. Oliver asked the sisters whose wedding was better.
“Joey’s,” Hunter immediately answered. She then laughed before adding, “Don’t tell Chris I said that!” Joey quickly disagreed with her sister’s assessment.
“That is not true!” Joey said. However, Hunter continued praising her younger sister’s celebration. She particularly remembered the setting and floral arrangements.
“It was just so beautiful,” Hunter said. “The setting was so gorgeous, the flowers.” She added that she still remembered Joey’s flowers years later.
Joey married filmmaker Steven Piet in Mallorca, Spain, in September 2023. The couple held their destination celebration at La Fortaleza. Their wedding followed a legal ceremony in the United States.
Hunter married Chris Copier three years later in June 2026. The couple celebrated with a destination wedding at La Torre sulla Via Francigena. Their Italian celebration also followed a legal ceremony in California.
The sisters served as each other’s bridesmaids. Joey attended Hunter’s intimate Italian wedding after previously celebrating her own marriage. Their ceremonies also reflected their different approaches to weddings.
Hunter’s legal wedding took place on Valentine’s Day in North Hollywood. She then celebrated with immediate family at a tiki bar. The group later dressed up for Medieval Times.
Joey’s wedding featured a larger guest list with 115 attendees. Hunter’s celebration had only 38 guests. Despite the smaller gathering, Hunter said her wedding still felt like a lot.
Hunter also discussed her social anxiety during the podcast. Joey recalled encouraging her sister to read her vows aloud. Hunter had considered skipping the spoken vows because of the public-speaking aspect.
Joey ultimately praised Hunter’s celebration despite the playful comparison. She described the wedding as “so fun.” She also remembered a party bus with their grandmother aboard. For the sisters, both celebrations created memorable family moments.
