King Charles Accused of Impacting Harry & Meghan’s Security With Bombshell Letter — Source

King Charles reportedly made a shocking move against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Recent reports suggested that the Sussexes were aiming for new security arrangements during their stay in Britain. Before the meeting with Ravec, the monarch allegedly circulated a letter stating that the couple are not working royals after their UK return. Amid this, a source claimed that Charles timed the letter to impact Harry and Meghan’s security meeting.

King Charles’ Prince Harry and Meghan Markle letter timing sparks questions, per source

According to RadarOnline, King Charles timed the letter to influence the meeting regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s security. The Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures, aka Ravec, was about to meet the couple. Sources close to the pair said the publication came shortly before the meeting. “The concern is about why it was considered necessary for this guidance to emerge immediately before such an important discussion about security,” one insider said.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s status has remained a known fact for years. As such, they have been “questioning the timing.” The king is now “being accused of timing this to come ahead of Harry’s Ravec meeting.” A spokesman for Harry and Meghan stated, “We were a little surprised not to have been told about this in advance.”

Daniela Relph also shared some details, saying sources close to the Sussexes said that the publication was timed to “impact” before the Ravec meeting. The BBC royal correspondent remarked that this shows the reality of the dynamics.

She said, “There is still much discomfort and mistrust in the relationship between the royal household and the Sussexes.” It is currently unclear whether Ravec will make a decision about taxpayer-funded protection for the Sussexes or conduct a further review.

Meanwhile, the meeting was understood not to take place yesterday. “Nobody is claiming the letter itself determines a security decision,” another source said. However, from Harry and Meghan’s perspective, “publicly emphasizing that they are private citizens immediately before Ravec considers their position creates an uncomfortable backdrop.”
