Donald Trump’s Labor Day Golf Weekend Includes His Ever-Present Aide

Donald Trump’s Labor Day getaway brought a familiar face along for the ride. Natalie Harp, one of his most frequent companions on golf weekends, joined the president again in New Jersey, continuing a pattern that has made her a near-constant presence around him.

Natalie Harp joined Donald Trump at Bedminster over Labor Day weekend

Natalie Harp, 35, traveled with Trump from Washington to New Jersey aboard Marine One before appearing at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster. She was spotted in a golf cart watching the 80-year-old president play. This adds another weekend appearance to her long list of trips alongside President Donald Trump (via The Daily Beast).

Harp’s role in Trump’s orbit goes well beyond her official White House duties. The former conservative television host reportedly earns $150,000 a year while working in the administration, but her access to the president has made her a familiar presence around him. She attends meetings in the Oval Office, joins his weekend golf outings and even marked her 35th birthday last month at his New Jersey club.

Her relationship with Trump has also sparked interest because of the deeply personal notes she has sent him. The Daily Beast obtained and published two letters last month. In one, Harp described Trump as her “Guardian and Protector in this Life” and wrote, “You are all that matters to me.”

The intensity of Harp’s attachment to Trump reportedly became especially clear during a 2023 overseas trip. While traveling with him through Scotland and Ireland for visits to his golf properties, she wrote about how strongly she worried about his opinion of her. Even casual remarks from others could allegedly unsettle her, while her focus on Trump sometimes reportedly became so consuming that she said she would lose track of basic needs such as food and sleep.

Her presence during the trip also produced a memorable image. Cameras captured Harp sprinting up a hill behind Trump’s moving golf cart in Scotland, a moment that quickly drew attention. The letters offered another glimpse into that dynamic, with Harp emphasizing that she wanted her presence in Trump’s life to bring him nothing but “joy.”
