Paramount+ has officially renewed MobLand for Season 3. The update comes just two weeks before the show’s Season 2 premiere on Friday, September 18. The streamer has also confirmed the return of several major cast members following recent behind-the-scenes drama.
Tom Hardy is officially returning as the Harrigan family’s loyal fixer Harry da Souza. Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren are also reprising their roles as Conrad and Maeve Harrigan, respectively. Hardy, who also serves as an executive producer on the show, was reportedly involved in a feud with the writer, executive producer, and showrunner Jez Butterworth during Season 2 production. Tensions escalated to a point where Hardy’s return to the show became uncertain.
However, things eventually cooled down after the pair buried the hatchet during a meeting in London with series executive producer David C. Glasser. Hardy was confirmed to stay on board with support from fellow executive producer Guy Ritchie as well.
