An Euphoria star’s three-season TV show is available to stream on Netflix. The Passionflix series is a romantic drama based on K. Bromberg’s book series.
Viewers can now stream all three seasons of Driven, starring Olivia Grace Applegate in one of Passionflix’s most beloved series. The story follows social worker Rylee Thomas, who unexpectedly falls for race car driver Colton Donavan. The two have undeniable chemistry, but Colton finds it difficult to win Rylee over.
What to know about Passionflix’s Driven TV series
Driven comes to Netflix with a star-studded cast. The steamy car-racing romance stars Olivia Grace Applegate, Casey Deidrick (Season 1), and Michael Roark (Seasons 2 and 3), among others. Deidrick played Colton Donavan in the first season before the role was recast. Michael Roark took over the role for the latter two seasons.
Deidrick’s role was recast because of scheduling conflicts. The actor left the production because of his role in The CW’s In the Dark. He remained a main cast member of In the Dark until the series ended after four seasons.
The book series on which the show is based began with Driven in 2013. Subsequent entries in the series include Fueled, Crashed, a novella titled Raced, and Aced. The wider series also features interconnected standalone romances set in the same universe. The interconnected standalone novels include Slow Burn, Sweet Ache, Hard Beat, and Down Shift.
K. Bromberg, the author of the novels, took to Instagram when the Netflix release was first announced, where she wrote, “You heard that right. @Passionflix’s adaptation of DRIVEN is now listed and COMING SOON on Netflix. Cue my flailing arms and screams. And why yes, I did click ‘remind me’ under the title just so I could get that actual notification from Netflix when it goes live.”
