Brittany Boltinhouse has made a quick return to the pageant world after losing her Miss North Carolina USA 2026 title. The 27-year-old announced a new pageant role on Aug. 31. She will now represent Honduras at an international competition in Thailand. Her comeback comes as she continues a legal fight over her previous dethroning.

Boltinhouse announced that she will compete as Miss Global Honduras 2026. She plans to travel to Thailand in October for the Miss Global pageant. In her announcement, she quoted Winston Churchill’s famous words, “Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in, except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”
CNB Latin America also announced her appointment and that she will be representing Honduras internationally. It said it met with Boltinhouse before offering her the opportunity. The organization stated she took the job based on its values and guidelines. It also assured her of guidance and support during her preparation.
Boltinhouse lost her Miss North Carolina USA crown on Aug. 5. The Miss USA Organization said it decided with Boltinhouse, her state directors and the organization. Chairman and CEO Thom Brodeur said the decision followed conduct that violated its standards. He added that the organization does not tolerate “racism, homophobia, transphobia nor language that strips any person of their dignity.”
Boltinhouse later filed a defamation lawsuit against the Miss USA Organization and others involved in the pageant. She said she does not challenge the crown’s removal but disputes statements that allegedly labeled her racist, homophobic, transphobic and bigoted. She is seeking damages for harm to her reputation, emotional distress and lost opportunities.
In her lawsuit, Boltinhouse acknowledged that old social media posts resurfaced after she won the crown in June. She also cited later posts about her political views and claimed they led to her removal. Boltinhouse said her conservative political and religious views played a role in the decision. She told Carolina Journal that she believed the pageant removed her because she is a “conservative Christian woman.”
