Howard Stern has been at the center of major changes at SiriusXM as the radio personality prepares to scale back his programming schedule. Now, another significant change has reportedly taken place, with his long-running secondary channel, Howard 101, being removed from the network’s lineup.
The move comes shortly after several staffers associated with Stern’s show were laid off, adding to the growing changes surrounding his SiriusXM presence.

Page Six reports that SiriusXM has decided to remove Howard 101. A blog declaration from the network said, “Among the most notable changes, Radio Andy moves from Ch. 102 to Ch. 101, while Howard 100 remains on Ch. 100 and Howard 101 leaves the lineup.”
As it stands, Andy Cohen is moving into the slot with “Radio Andy”. However, Howard 100 retains its channel.
The key move follows the network’s laying off of a dozen staffers. Following the layoffs, radio host and producer Rahsaan Rogers announced his departure from the show.
The impacted employees were reportedly sent home “immediately” after the call. Employees will receive a severance package, calculated on the basis of how long they have worked with the network. The Sun reported that some staffers have been offered around one week’s pay per year of being employed with the network.
Stern has been hosting his flagship radio show for decades alongside co-host Robin Quivers. In 2004, he signed a massive five-year, $500 million contract with Sirius Satellite Radio. The contract was formalized so that he could transition away from terrestrial FM radio. His show eventually launched on Sirius channels, Howard 100 and Howard 101, in 2006.
Consequently, he also signed a three-year contract with SiriusXM in December 2025. According to Stern, this offered him flexibility.
“I am happy to announce that I have figured out a way to have it all,” Stern told listeners at the time. “More free time and continuing to be on the radio.”
Howard 101 is one of SiriusXM’s dedicated Howard Stern channels, featuring Stern archives, original programming, and shows hosted by members of his on-air universe.
