Jerry Seinfeld’s animated comedy Bee Movie is set to leave Netflix next month. According to What’s on Netflix, the 2007 film will be removed from the streaming platform on September 1, 2026, giving subscribers a limited time to watch it.

Directed by Simon J. Smith and Steve Hickner, Bee Movie was released in theaters on November 2, 2007. The film centers on Barry B. Benson, a bee who has recently graduated from college and is disappointed to discover that his career will be limited to making honey. During a trip outside the hive, Barry meets Vanessa Bloome, a florist in New York City, after she saves his life.

The two become friends, and Barry soon learns that humans collect and eat the honey produced by bees. Barry becomes determined to challenge the practice and decides to sue humanity for taking the honey made by his species. His actions lead to unexpected consequences.

Jerry Seinfeld voices Barry B. Benson, while Renée Zellweger plays Vanessa Bloome. The voice cast also includes Matthew Broderick as Adam Flayman, John Goodman as Layton T. Montgomery, Patrick Warburton as Ken, and Barry Levinson as Martin B. Benson.

The Bee Movie received mixed reviews from critics. The film holds a 49 percent critics’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 171 reviews, while its audience rating stands at 53 percent.

The animated comedy grossed approximately $294 million worldwide. This includes about $127 million from domestic theaters and $167 million from international markets, according to Box Office Mojo.
