Prime Video has released the trailer for Drawn Together. But it’s not what fans expect based on the title. The upcoming original film won’t be an adaptation of the Comedy Central animated show. Instead, Drawn Together is a new film based on author Mercedes Ron’s successful Enfrentados duology, which includes the novels Drawn Together and Drawn Apart. Ron’s previous novels adapted by Prime Video into films include the hit My Fault series and Tell Me Softly.
Drawn Together follows Marfil Cortés, the daughter of a Spanish business tycoon who is kidnapped and mysteriously released. Following this, her father hires and assigns “the enigmatic” Sebastian Moore as her bodyguard. Soon, Cortés and Moore find themselves drawn to each other. The film follows the couple as they travel to Spain and deal with several unexpected threats.

What do we see in the Drawn Together movie trailer?
The trailer starts by giving fans a glimpse at Cortés’ life in New York City before and after getting kidnapped. Following the incident, her father hires Moore to protect her. The duo is seen getting comfortable in Cortés’ apartment, slowly flirting while Moore teaches her self-protection techniques. Cortés asks her bodyguard to train her to get stronger, which slowly sparks a romance between the two. Moore is shown protecting Cortés from a man at a party, and both are shown getting fired upon by unknown assailants soon after.
Several fans have expressed confusion in the comments section under the official trailer about it not being a revival of the Comedy Central series.
The upcoming film will adapt the first book, with the sequel also in development. Both Drawn Together and Drawn Apart were produced by Pokeepsie Films. Álex de la Iglesia and Carolina Bang produced the films. Óscar Pedraza serves as the director, with the screenplay written by Sofía Cuenca.
Drawn Together stars Ester Expósito and Hugo Diego García in the lead roles. They are joined by Eric Masip, Pablo Molinero, Zoe Bonafonte, Lluís Homar, and Joaquín Ferreira.
Drawn Together releases on September 9, 2026, on Prime Video.
