Hayden Panettiere spoke about her addiction issues just a few months ago. As the acting industry reacts to the shock of her untimely demise, her interview with Jay Shetty is gaining serious traction.
Speaking with Shetty just three months prior to her death, Panettiere shared how she was struggling to cope with her addictions. Panettiere said, “Oh, I struggled with that for years. It was an on-and-off battle for a really long time. And getting out of that depression was really difficult.”
The Nashville actress, who also featured in Scream, was reportedly found unresponsive at an Airbnb in South Carolina. Following the situation, an emergency medical team came in to provide support and life-saving measures. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts, Panettiere did not respond, and the actress was declared dead at 2:32 PM.
Hayden Panettiere opened up about recovery, motherhood and starting over
Speaking in the same interview with Shetty, the actress also delved into several complications in her life. She stated that her demanding everyday schedule did not help her situation. Unable to devote enough time to recover, the actress requested that the Nashville crew keep her out of the show so that she could focus on her treatment properly.
Next up, the Scream actress opened up about her postpartum complications. Panettiere told Shetty how she always looked forward to embracing motherhood. She had some big plans for her baby and wanted to devote enough time to properly feel the essence of being a mother.
But things did not turn out as expected. The actress said, “And then I had my daughter and I knew something was just terribly terribly wrong. And now there’s a lot of stigma around postpartum and there’s a lot of misunderstanding. And it’s on a there’s it’s on a spectrum.”
She further added, “It’s on a scale, and fortunately you I never felt any hostility or negativity towards my child, you know, thankfully. But I wasn’t connecting with her the way that I knew I should be and that I was full of stress and anxiety all the time.”
As the autopsy report of the actress arrived, it reportedly did not detect any signs of trauma. However, further investigations are still ongoing.
