Tyler Duckworth’s mother, Joni, took to her Facebook to share the tragic news about her son’s death. “My son, Tyler, passed away earlier this week. Cause of death has yet to be determined,” she wrote. Joni continued, “I will post on Facebook about services as soon as his dad and I figure it out.” Soon, the comment section was filled with condolences for Joni, with many recalling their fond memories of The Challenge star.
One said, “Tyler and I were friends back in the post-college days when he lived in Boston. I still remember how lovingly he spoke about you to this day.” The user continued, “Thinking of you and all whom he loved so fiercely and hoping that all of the incredible memories he created with all of us carry you through this unimaginable grief.” Another one commented, “I’m so sorry, Joni. My memories of Tyler are full of his life and vitality. I’ll be thinking about you and your family.” One more wrote, “I’m so sorry for your loss, Joni. Tyler was an amazing person. The Sun reported that Tyler passed away after he was found unresponsive in his bathroom. Moreover, the outlet claimed that they heard from local North Dakota officials that the 44-year-old took his last breath on Tuesday just before noon. Officials also said that the case is being treated as an unattended death. This means the scene had zero witnesses. Further, an insider said that the reality TV star recently underwent surgery. However, it is unclear whether the surgery had anything to do with his death.
Tyler last attended The Challenge Mania event on July 31, 2026, in Minneapolis. “Thank you all who came last night. You all are amazing. Thank you @scottofyager @derrickmtv from @challengemaniapodcast,” he wrote on a group photo in his final Instagram post.
