She criticized Trump over the war involving Iran and said that she is opposed to the invasions. This is not the first time Maines has criticized the U.S. president. Maines, who was part of the group formerly known as Dixie Chicks, previously criticized former U.S. President George W. Bush. During a European show of The Chicks’ Top of the World Tour in 2003, Maines addressed the audience. She made a similar statement to the one she recently made for Donald Trump, according to Rolling Stone. Maines said, “Just so you know, we’re on the good side with y’all.
