Former “All That” star Christy Knowings has passed away at age 46 after a severe asthma attack. The attack left her with brain damage and led to a hospital stay. Her family later made the difficult decision to remove her from life support.

A family member told TMZ that Knowings went to the hospital Friday after the asthma attack. As a result of the attack, she suffered brain damage and was placed on life support. She was kept on life support until Tuesday. Her family then made the difficult decision to remove her from it, and she died Tuesday night at a Los Angeles-area hospital.
Knowings joined Nickelodeon’s “All That” in 1997 after appearing in “And Now This,” a Rosie O’Donnell sketch-comedy special produced by the network. She remained on the show “All That” for three seasons. During her time on the show, she played several characters, including Penny Lane and Jessica. She also joined Amanda Bynes in the recurring “Whateverrr!!?” sketch.
After “All That,” Knowings continued working in television. She appeared in three episodes of “Sesame Street” alongside her real-life twin brother, Chris Knowings. She also explored music and released the folk song “To the World” in 2020. Her career later included comedy, television, and music beyond her work with Nickelodeon.
Knowings becomes the second former “All That” cast member to die this year. Kianna Underwood died in January after a hit-and-run crash in Brooklyn. Knowings’ death brings another heartbreaking loss for fans of the Nickelodeon series, following Underwood’s death earlier this year.
