Paramount+‘s upcoming show about the aftermath of the 9/11 tragedy, starring Jeremy Strong, has received a new title. Previously known as 9/12, the series is now titled The Best of Us. Additional cast members have also been confirmed.
According to Deadline, Paramount+’s new series The Best of Us will star Neal Huff, Gaby Hoffmann, and Sky Yang, alongside Jeremy Strong. The show follows the decade-long legal battle to secure nearly $1 billion in compensation for all the first responders who fell ill after the 9/11 tragedy. The cast is led by Strong, who plays lawyer Jason Smith, who fights against corruption and greed within powerful institutions.
Neal Huff, who has previously starred in Fallout, plays Peter Allen. He is a colleague of Strong’s Jason in The Best of Us. Meanwhile, Gaby Hoffmann, a former child actress who starred in several 90s movies like Sleepless in Seattle, portrays FDNY firefighter and activist Kathleen McCormick in the show. Finally, Sky Yang from Rebel Moon will play “The Lost Son,” a young homeless man.
