Recently, influencer Brigette Pheloung tied the knot with her longtime partner Mitch McHale. During the wedding, the biggest topic of discussion became her wedding dress, which led to Brielle Biermann facing more trolling than the influencer herself.
Amid the backlash, the social media personality has now stepped forward to calm the criticism.
Brielle Biermann says her Vera Wang video was not aimed at Brigette Pheloung
The controversy started on Sunday when Brielle shared a video of herself trying on a Vera Wang drop-waist ball gown. She had previously decided not to choose the gown while shopping for her own wedding dress. However, people quickly reacted to the post. Some assumed Brielle was indirectly taking a dig at Brigette Pheloung and her wedding dress choice.
Before the controversy could grow further, the social media and fashion influencer clarified the situation. She explained that people had misunderstood her post.
Brielle commented on her social media post, “Do you think i ran to Vera wang today to try this dress on and post it Imao.”
Not only that, as TMZ also reported, Brielle Biermann later shared a lengthy statement on her Instagram Story, where she provided further clarification about the situation.
She wrote, “Addressing this once and for all. As you’ll see, I made this video on Friday. We had it scheduled to be posted on Sunday for engagement purposes. I’ve never met @acquired.style (Brigette Pheloung) and did not know she was getting married this weekend, let alone see a leaked photo of her! She clearly had a great taste that she went with Vera Wang for her dress!!!”
Despite Brielle Biermann’s clarification, the criticism and backlash on Instagram continued. However, Brigette Pheloung has not publicly responded to the controversy so far.
