Recently, Rosario Dawson discussed what happened during a Daredevil panel at GalaxyCon. As The Hollywood Reporter also covered, a fan asked her which superhero she wanted to work with, and she revealed that the team had cut her scene from Spider-Man.
Rosario said, “Well … I’m going to have to say: I could have said Spider-Man. I even shot a scene in the new Spider-Man movie. But I got cut out.”
After fans expressed disappointment over the news, Dawson shared a conversation with her mother and revealed that her mom also felt disappointed about the scene’s removal.
Dawson said, “I know. I told my mom, and she was like, ‘That sucks. Now I can’t post the [behind the scenes] pictures [on social media].’ And I was like, ‘Right mom. Me being cut out of the movie that has, like, the largest viewership of a trailer ever, the issue is you can’t post your BTS photos.'”
Rosario Dawson further explained that her uncle was a comic book artist, which is one of the reasons she has such a deep admiration for the project.
Rosario revealed that she first learned to draw Spider-Man and opened up about her connection with the character, which she associated with her childhood and school memories.
For your information, the 47-year-old actress first joined the Marvel universe in April 2015 with the Netflix series Daredevil.
However, she has not officially appeared in any theatrical Marvel movie so far.
However, Rosario Dawson remained hopeful, saying that she likes the fact that her character still exists within the universe and that she hopes to play Claire Temple again in the future.
