A royal commentator has slammed Meghan Markle over what they called an “incredibly stupid” move as her apparent cold war with Martha Stewart continues. For the unversed, Stewart claimed she overheard Markle discussing her recent visit to the royal family at a Hollywood A-list dinner party.
The Duchess of Sussex reportedly visited her father-in-law, King Charles, alongside her children in July, with the family meeting the monarch at his private residence, Highgrove House, in Gloucestershire.

A royal commentator berated Meghan Markle for not handling her alleged dispute with cooking legend Martha Stewart.
For those unversed, Stewart revealed to PEOPLE: “I had dinner with [Meghan Markle] the other night. We were both guests at a dinner party in California. And she had just gotten back from the palace. I didn’t talk to her really more than to say a couple words, but I know she was talking about it.”
However, sources close to the former actress rubbished Stewart’s claims, insisting she might have gotten “confused.” The source shared: “Meghan was asked by someone else about her European vacation and said it was nice, and that was the extent of it. I think (Ms. Stewart) must have been confused, but we remain fans of Martha” (via The Mirror).
In a fresh development, royal commentator Tom Sykes slammed the Duchess for hiding behind sources and possibly igniting a new rift with Stewart. The Daily Beast’s European Editor at Large said: “If you look carefully at what Martha actually said, she was talking in pretty vague terms. She certainly wasn’t claiming Meghan was spilling every last detail of what happened at Highgrove [when the Sussexes met the King].”
Moreover, Sykes branded Markle’s move to have her sources dismiss the claims as “incredibly stupid.” He remarked: “Implying that Martha, 85, is a dotty old lady is an incredibly stupid thing to do, especially for Meghan, who enjoys very little public goodwill.”
According to Sykes, the former “Suits” star should have simply “sucked it up” rather than allow news outlets to fuel speculation about a supposed cold war brewing between Stewart and Markle.
