Liam says his relationship with Ariana Biermann is casual as romance rumors swirl
Obergfoll discussed his relationship with Biermann during a Page Six Virtual Reali-Tea interview. The Next Gen NYC star was asked about their current status. He admitted that their connection has remained casual for now.
“We’re talking. We’re just talking,” Obergfoll said. “[We’re] having fun, but keeping it casual.” His comments offered some clarity amid ongoing speculation about their relationship. The pair previously grew closer during the show’s second season.
Biermann had recently ended her relationship with Hudson McLeroy when Obergfoll entered the picture. The former couple had dated on and off for seven years. Biermann explained that McLeroy had stopped putting efforts into their relationship.
McLeroy also acknowledged that his lack of “drive” had become “unattractive” to Biermann. Following their October 2025 split, Biermann spent more time with Obergfoll. Obergfoll eventually introduced her to his family during Next Gen NYC.
However, Biermann’s romantic life became more complicated during filming. She reportedly “hooked up” with castmate Charlie Zakkour. Meanwhile, rumors later emerged about Biermann and McLeroy potentially rekindling their relationship.
The pair were spotted kissing at the Next Gen NYC Season 2 premiere party. Biermann later addressed their status during a July appearance on Watch What Happens Live. “I don’t know the best wording for it,” she said at the time.
Biermann also said they were together while still figuring things out. For now, Obergfoll’s comments suggest he and Biermann are enjoying their connection. However, he made clear that their relationship remains undefined. Their evolving dynamic could continue playing out as Next Gen NYC progresses.
