Kate Middleton reportedly wants an important condition met before a reconciliation with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. While King Charles is more willing to reunite with the Sussexes and his grandchildren, the Waleses are reportedly more cautious. Prince Harry and Middleton believe that reconciliation must be earned through trust and genuine effort, and that it takes time. For those unversed, Charles hosted the Sussexes and his grandchildren at his private residence, Highgrove House in Gloucestershire, on July 10.
Kate Middleton reportedly refuses to compromise on one thing before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s reconciliation
Kate Middleton reportedly wants Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to make efforts to rebuild trust with the royal family before any meaningful reconciliation can occur. As per Radar Online, the recent reunion between the Sussexes and King Charles has sparked hope that things are finally improving after years of frosty relations.
The royal source explained that Charles was always hopeful that time would heal everything and ease some of the damage caused by the Sussexes over the years. However, it is also evident that Charles’ willingness does not automatically mean that William and Middleton are on board.
The Prince and Princess of Wales believe that the Sussexes need to put in the effort, mend their ways, and work on rebuilding trust with the royal family. If their efforts are genuine, reconciliation is definitely possible.
The royal source said, “William and Kate believe that reconciliation has to be earned through actions over time. Their verdict is that trust was broken, and rebuilding it cannot happen overnight simply because everyone has shared the same roof for a few days.”
Another source shared that Middleton is not someone who enjoys confrontation or family feuds. However, she understands that the royal family was deeply hurt by the Sussexes’ explosive statements about it to the media. This includes Harry’s 2023 tell-all memoir, Spare, and the couple’s controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The royal source explained that Middleton wants complete confidence and assurance that private conversations and family issues will remain private. “She is not opposed to reconciliation, but she does not believe forgiveness automatically erases the hurt or restores the level of trust that existed before everything became so public,” the insider added.
