Keke Palmer is joining The Voice franchise as host of its newest spinoff. NBC announced The Voice: Celebrity on Tuesday, with Carson Daly producing.
The announcement marks the first major expansion of The Voice franchise since NBC confirmed Carson Daly will remain involved as a producer while Palmer takes over hosting duties.

Keke Palmer is following Carson Daly into one of television’s biggest hosting gigs. NBC officially announced The Voice: Celebrity on Tuesday, August 4, with Palmer, 32, hosting the newest addition to the franchise. Daly, 53, will serve as a producer.
The Voice spinoff keeps the format fans already know. The Voice celebrity competition will hunt for undiscovered talent, this time drawing from actors, musicians, influencers, athletes, comedians and reality stars, before crowning a single champion at the end of the run.
Palmer’s appointment as host marks a first for the singing competition. Daly has fronted The Voice for all 30 seasons across the last 15 years. He will emcee the flagship series when it launches its milestone 30th season, working alongside returning coaches Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson.
Daly has left his mark on the show in other ways. After 28 seasons, he received a special “Carson Callback Card,” which let him hand one artist who missed out on a chair turn during the Blind Auditions a second shot. He used it on rocker Ryan Mitchell, who landed on Team Reba McEntire. Aiden Ross from Niall Horan’s team took the trophy that year.
“We started a new twist,” Daly said on Today in September 2025. “I had the ability to give one of our artists a second chance. This season … there was a young man who caught my eye when he went out there. [He] was so close to getting a chair turn, [but] nothing happened; he didn’t make it. I still knew Ryan Mitchell deserved the first-ever ‘Carson Callback Card.'”
Palmer brings her own hosting résumé to the role. She joined the NBC reboot of Password in 2022 and won the 2024 Emmy for Outstanding Host for a Game Show, becoming the first Black woman and the first woman in 15 years to claim the honor. She also hosts her own podcast, “Baby, This is Keke Palmer.”
