Rosie O’ Donnell appeared on the “Tangle With Kyle Ridley” podcast and declared that she will feature in The View’s 30th anniversary celebrations as a guest.
The 64-year-old also recalled her run as a co-host in the show in seasons 10 and 18.

According to Kyle Ridley’s latest podcast, the 64-year-old has declared that she will attend the show’s celebrations “just as a guest” “in whatever way they want”. O’ Donnell also revealed that her time as a co-host wasn’t how she had imagined and was something that she won’t“ever do again.”
She added, “They’re bringing back all the hosts, I think. And, you know, I’m pretty proud of that show, what it’s become and how it really speaks to the people and to politics.” Other than her famous clash with co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, O’Donnell also did not have an easy relationship with Whoopi Goldberg in the show preceding her 2015 departure.
The talk-show host described that her intended relationship with the Oscar-winner did not go as she wanted. She said, “I admired Whoopi, wanted to be on her team, had respect for her and I expected we would be like Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan passing the ball back and forth, shooting and leading the team to victory,” adding, “And that’s not exactly what happened.” She cites that Goldberg “felt encroached upon in some way.” and their time together, “didn’t go so well.”
O’Donnell has previously said that being a talk show host was “not the best use of my talent to get in a show where I have to argue and defend basic principles of humanity and kindness.”
Rosie O’Donnell joined The View as a co-host in 2006 for its 10th season, earning praise for her outspoken commentary and helping boost the show’s ratings. She left in 2007 after a highly publicized on-air disagreement with Elisabeth Hasselbeck. She briefly returned for Season 18 in 2014, and departed again in 2015.
