Tasnim News Agency, which allegedly maintains close ties to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, published the video under the title “How to Kill Melania Trump.” It shows video of Donald Trump’s wife travelling in her motorcade and moving through New York City. The narrator features designer stores she visits, framing these outings as opportunities for attack. One segment proposes contaminating clothing purchases with a nerve agent.
The broadcast closes with a warning directed at the president’s youngest son, “This is just the beginning. Barron Trump, wait for us.” Barron receives round-the-clock Secret Service protection. The first lady maintains the same level of security, and authorities heavily secure every Trump residence, including the White House, Mar-a-Lago, Trump Tower, and the Bedminster golf club. Neither the East Wing nor the Secret Service issued an immediate response to the video’s release.
Moreover, this video extends an escalating pattern of threats against the president’s family. Days earlier, billboards demanding retribution appeared throughout Tehran. They listed Donald Trump, Melania, and all five children, Don Jr., Ivanka, Eric, Tiffany, and Barron, alongside the slogan “Blood for blood.”
The hostile campaign got worse after a joint US-Israel strike eliminated Iran’s supreme leader and other top regime officials. Donald Trump has spoken openly about his position as Iran’s primary target. The New York Times reported that Iranian threats forced him to abandon the new Air Force One for an older aircraft during a departure from Turkey, where he attended a NATO summit.
“I’ve been on their list for a long time. That’s what we’re dealing with,” Trump told The New York Post. He confirmed issuing directives in case any plot succeeds, “The only thing is, I’ve left instructions — if anything happens, to just literally bomb them at levels that they’ve never seen before.” Melania has kept a low profile this month.
