Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Raise Marital Suspicions Over One Move — Expert

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s extremely public way of speaking about each other has raised suspicions from author Catherine Mayer.

The Sussexes have indeed appeared in public one too many times to muse on their relationship. In the years following their royal abdication, the couple has spent time building legends around the royal rift and their new life in Montecito, California.

Expert describes source’s key suspicion in Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s marriage

Catherine Mayer’s book “Divide and Rule: Royal Women and Their Battles,” examines the lives of senior royal women and includes reflections on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s life after stepping back from royal duties in 2020.

She writes: “I ask someone who has closely observed the couple whether he has directly witnessed signs of tension. No, he replies, but ‘the thing that raises my suspicions is that they say too much about each other publicly. If you’re in love with your husband or your wife, you don’t need to be saying that every five minutes to the outside world.”

The report surfaces even as Markle and Prince Harry are planning a visit to the U.K. in July. The couple will also reportedly visit Princess Diana’s gravesite to pay their respects. Interestingly, a camera crew may be in tow, raising suspicions around whether their visit will be filmed for a Netflix project. According to the Express, the family is expected to stay at a royal residence while keeping the trip largely private, with the children not expected to attend public engagements.

Harry and Meghan met on a blind date in 2016 before travelling to Botswana later that year, and married at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, in 2018, drawing a huge crowd.

Since stepping back as senior working royals in 2020, Harry and Meghan’s public appearances and upcoming UK visit have continued to fuel speculation about their relationship, despite the lack of direct evidence cited in Mayer’s account.
