Spanning many years, the narrative explores love, loss, laughter, and life through the experiences of the people who inhabit that space. Hanks stars as Richard Young alongside Wright as Margaret Young. Tom Shone of the Sunday Times (UK) wrote, “Like too many stage plays, the movie shows the death of a marriage by slow asphyxiation — although it’s hard to tell whether it’s the marriage or the film that is doing the asphyxiating.”
According to Box Office Mojo, Here earned roughly $16 million worldwide during its theatrical run. Of that total, more than $12 million came from domestic markets, while international territories contributed approximately $4 million. The film’s reported production budget was estimated to be between $45 million and $50 million.
