King Charles Sets Condition for Meeting Prince Harry & Meghan’s Kids

King Charles has outlined a condition before agreeing to meet Prince Harry and Meghan’s kids. The condition reflects his wish to know his grandchildren, balanced with royal duty and the realities of the Crown.

King Charles reportedly has a condition before he meets Prince Harry and Meghan’s kids

According to royal sources, King Charles has expressed a condition before seeing Prince Harry and Meghan’s children.

The 77-year-old monarch has a reputation for doting on Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8. Now, he reportedly wants to build the same kind of relationship with his two youngest grandchildren.

Speculation suggests that the Duke of Sussex is hoping to bring Archie and Lilibet to the UK this year. Royal insiders point to Balmoral in Scotland as the most likely setting for him to bond with Archie and Lilibet away from the spotlight.

This comes amid reports that Harry may avoid meetings with two members of the Royal Family during his upcoming UK trip. According to royal author Ingrid Seward, speaking to The Mirror, any reunion would likely depend on the Sussex family’s security arrangements being approved. She said, “The only place I think they could meet if the King is to get to know, or at least see, his grandchildren, is at Balmoral.”

However, Seward stressed that the King would only agree to the meeting if Harry and Meghan accepted certain conditions. She explained, “Harry and Meghan don’t have to stay in the castle, although of course they would expect to, but that’s fine. They would make sure, obviously, that William and Kate weren’t there at the same time.”

“[Charles] has a private secretary and other staff to deal with all of the details. They’d have them buttoned up as much as you can button them up,” she added.

Since Prince Harry and Meghan stepped back from senior royal duties in 2020, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, turning 5 next week, have had minimal contact with their UK relatives. The gap widened after reports of William’s anger over the handling of Princess Diana’s diamonds.
