Wanda Skyes reveals the thing she is worried about regarding Donald Trump
Jimmy Kimmel asked Wanda Sykes to name “the number one thing you worry about” when it comes to Donald Trump. She replied, “Well, everything. Everything. He makes you worry about everything.” Explaining herself, she added, “Like the hantavirus. I heard about it here and there. I was like, ‘Oh, it’s no big deal.’ Until I heard him talk about it.”
“He’s [Donald Trump] like, ‘Oh, it’s under control. Well, you know, we got a good grip on it, but we think we have it. It’s, uh, well, I don’t know the people. I don’t know anything about it, but it’s under control.’ I’m like, ‘Oh, my God, we’re all gonna die by the hantavirus,” she continued. “Like, I wasn’t concerned about it until he started talking about it. Now Ebola is out here. What the hell, man?”
Back in September 2025, Sykes was going to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! However, on the same day, its parent network, ABC, suspended Kimmel, pulling the show off the air temporarily. The suspension was due to the comments he made on MAGA’s reaction to the assassination of Charlie Kirk. ABC faced wide criticism for the move, and six days later, the talk show host made a record-breaking return.
Recalling her reaction to the show’s sudden suspension, Sykes said, “I was like, ‘What the hell?'” She added that she ended up drinking martinis with lemons. She replied, “When life hands you lemons, you make martinis with a lemon twist.”
