Rudy Giuliani shares health update after hospitalization
Rudy Giuliani made his first public appearance since his hospitalization earlier this month. The former Mayor of New York City and former attorney for President Donald Trump resumed his hosting duties on The Rudy Giuliani Show on Wednesday, May 13.
During his opening monologue, Giuliani provided an update on his health and recovery. “I’m in the middle of making a very, very full and complete recovery,” the former lawyer shared.
“Today, I did physical exercise, walked up and down stairs, walked all around,” Giuliani continued. “I feel 100 percent, but I’m probably not,” Giuliani said, adding, “I still am recovering from what was a pretty serious bout of viral pneumonia.”
Giuliani went on to thank his family and “everyone who sent me prayers and goodwill.” He also shared that he received a call from President Donald Trump and had a “very good conversation.” The update comes just a week after Giuliani was hospitalized on Sunday, May 3, with metapneumovirus, which reportedly became “life-threatening” due to the former NYC mayor’s preexisting 9/11-related illnesses.
Shortly after, Giuliani’s spokesperson, Ted Goodman, called him a “fighter who has faced every challenge in his life with unwavering strength, and he’s fighting with that same level of strength as we speak,” in an X post.
On May 8, Giuliani’s attorney, Joseph Cammarata, shared an update on his health in a video message on X. “He’s making great progress each and every day,” Cammarata said, adding, “The American people should know he believes in the power of prayer, and he feels the prayer and the love that’s being projected toward him from his supporters.”
