Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 Is Casting Warriors as Potential Villains – Report

While Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock sits behind bars, a threat may be sharpening its blades in the shadows. A new casting rumor suggests Marvel Television is assembling a familiar villainous clan for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3, and it could finally pay off years of unfinished business from the Netflix era.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 rumored to be casting Asian warriors

The rumor comes from insider My Time To Shine Hello, who reports that production is “casting Asian warriors for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3.” The scooper doesn’t confirm the group’s identity outright but floats one compelling possibility: The Hand. Given the ninja clan’s comic roots and their imminent MCU comeback, the connection writes itself.

The Hand is going to be seen in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, seemingly with a comic-accurate look. Introducing the group in the Spider-Man film without deploying them against Daredevil might represent a missed narrative opportunity, especially given Matt Murdock’s current circumstances. Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 ended with Murdock revealing his secret identity to bring down Wilson Fisk, a victory that landed the vigilante in prison. Hell’s Kitchen now lacks its defender, creating an opening that The Hand could exploit.

A Hand-centric storyline in Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 would also clarify recent indications involving Marvel’s street-level heroes. The potential reassembly of the Defenders, aka Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, gains logical momentum if a resurrected Hand threatens the city while Daredevil remains incarcerated.

In the pages of Marvel Comics, The Hand operates as a lethal ninja clan bound to a pseudo-religious cult that worships the Beast, a demonic entity of pure evil. Rival factions like the Chaste and the Fist have spent years fighting the spread of the Beast’s influence, but Daredevil himself remains the group’s most persistent adversary.

Dragging Matt into a Shadowland-inspired arc while he’s already incarcerated would let the show pick up dangling threads from the original Netflix run and reestablish The Hand as a legitimate threat across the MCU. It also cracks the door wide open for Elektra’s return.

All eyes are now on Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 to chart the hero’s future.
