Malfoy Actor Tom Felton ‘Bluntly’ Reveals His Favorite Harry Potter Movie

Tom Felton, known for playing Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, is looking back at his time in the franchise. He reflected on his experience with the series. With Harry Potter returning through a new HBO series, he shared his thoughts on it and revealed his favorite film from the franchise.

Tom Felton names his favorite among the Harry Potter movies

Tom Felton recently appeared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, where he was asked about his favorite Harry Potter movie. His answer turned out to be unexpected. “I’ve never seen them more than once,” the actor said.

He explained that he never went back to rewatch the movies. Watching himself as a kid feels a bit awkward. He also admitted that he loves the books more. Still, he did pick a favorite.

He said, “Well, I’ll say bluntly. The second film, Chamber of Secrets, was always fun because there was a giant snake basilisk in it and Alan Rickman was in full form, and we knew our characters a little better then.”

Felton also spoke about another movie. A more personal one that meant a lot to him as an actor. “The sixth one was the most rewarding for me as an actor. I certainly wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing now without the training and the learning of what proper acting sort of is or was.”

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002) gave Draco Malfoy more presence. It also gave him more personality and bigger moments. In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009), Draco goes through a lot. He faces pressure, fear, and conflict.

He is forced onto a dark path but struggles with it. It showed a different side of Draco Malfoy. That clearly mattered to Felton. Even now, he still feels connected to the role. He is set to reprise Draco on Broadway in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
