Donald Trump Reportedly Double Downs on Iran Warning Amid Deadline

Donald Trump has reportedly issued another warning to Iran, doubling down on his recent ultimatum regarding the Strait of Hormuz. The President threatened “total decimation” if Iran doesn’t reopen the critical water route.

Donald Trump reportedly gave another warning to Iran says reporter

In a recent phone interview with Israel’s Channel 13 News reporter Neria Kraus on Sunday, Donald Trump reiterated his plans to destroy Iran if the country refuses to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. President had previously issued an ultimatum that Iran must completely open the oil trade route by Monday night at around 7.45 p.m. Trump has threatened to target Iran’s power plants if Tehran doesn’t comply.

When Kraus asked Trump about his ultimatum, the POTUS declared, “You’ll find out what’s gonna happen.” When asked if Iran will “cave in to the ultimatum,” Trump replied, “You’re gonna find out soon. It’s gonna be very good. Total decimation of Iran. It’s gonna work out very good.”

Trump also gave a scathing criticism of NATO, stating, “They are not doing anything, it’s too bad.” The President added, “They’ve been very bad for 47 years (Iran). Now they’re getting their comeuppance.” Trump issued his 48-hour ultimatum to Iran on Saturday, March 21, via a Truth Social post.

“If Iran doesn’t FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz, within 48 HOURS from this exact point in time, the United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST!” he wrote.

In a defiant response to Trump’s threats, Iran’s military command stated, “Following previous warnings, if Iran’s fuel and energy infrastructure is violated by the enemy, all energy, information technology, and desalination infrastructure belonging to the US and the regime in the region will be targeted.”

In another statement, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned, “If the United States’ threats regarding Iran’s power plants are carried out… the Strait of Hormuz will be completely closed, and it will not be reopened until our destroyed power plants are rebuilt. (via WION)”
