Just two months after airing this year’s Golden Globes, CBS has revealed the host for the 2027 edition. In an update that barely comes as a surprise, the network confirmed that Nikki Glaser will retain her job as the anchor of next year’s Golden Globes.
Nikki Glaser to host Golden Globes for the third time next year
Nikki Glaser has officially signed on to return as the Golden Globes host in 2027 for the third time running.
“I’m thrilled to host the Golden Globes for a third time, not only because it’s the greatest gig I’ve ever had, but because my sister has three kids, and now we will be equal in the eyes of my parents and the Lord,” the veteran comedian noted while reacting to the announcement.
Notably, in Nikki Glaser’s capable hands, the 2026 Golden Globes was able to bring in 9.17 million viewers in live+7 viewership, all the while managing a further 27.07 million viewers internationally (via Variety). Her on-stage monologue also went viral shortly after the ceremony’s conclusion, garnering over 14 million views across the Golden Globes’ social media accounts within 36 hours of the event’s airing.
Golden Globes president Helen Hoehne commemorated Glaser’s confirmed return by stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Nikki back to the Golden Globes stage in 2027. Her comedic precision, authenticity, and ability to command the room is unmatched, and we can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve for next year’s show.”
The update comes after Glaser seemingly manifested a third stint at the awards even before the 2026 ceremony. “The hosts that really made their mark on the show, like Ricky [Gervais] and Tina [Fey] and Amy [Poehler] did it three or four times each. I want to be in the conversation with them! You can do anything once, but doing it twice is a feat. I’ll probably want to do it a third time,” Glaser told Variety in an earlier interview.
