Jason Kelce spent most of his football life avoiding social media trends, but retirement has a way of changing routines. The former Philadelphia Eagles center, now a familiar face in sports media, has finally stepped onto TikTok, even though he openly admits he doesn’t like it or fully understand it. The move was revealed during a lighthearted moment on his popular podcast with brother Travis Kelce.
Jason Kelce has made his debut on TikTok
Kelce’s TikTok arrival was revealed on the latest episode of New Heights, the podcast he co-hosts with Kansas City Chiefs tight end and brother Travis Kelce. During the show’s regular “New News” segment, Travis casually shared the update. “Final piece of new news, Jason has joined TikTok,” he announced, setting up his brother for an honest and very Jason Kelce response.
Jason didn’t pretend to be thrilled about it. He confirmed the news himself, saying, “That’s right, Travis, I’ve finally done it. I have two videos, I think they’re both very high quality.” He quickly followed that up with a reality check, admitting, “Yeah, so I’m on TikTok. I don’t know what I’m doing, I really don’t understand how it works.”
The decision comes during a busy post-retirement chapter for Jason. Since retiring from the NFL in 2024, he hasn’t exactly taken it easy. Now 38, he’s a full-time NFL analyst on ESPN and runs the New Heights podcast, which has become one of the biggest sports podcasts out there. Travis has been doing his thing on TikTok for years, but Jason stayed off the app until now. Even now, Jason’s handle hilariously reads: @jason.kelce.hates.tiktok.
The episode also brought in former NFL tight end Greg Olsen, who has recently made the jump from the field to the broadcast booth. Beyond the social buzz, the brothers also broke down the NFL playoffs, which Travis is watching from the couch this season. The Chiefs wrapped up a rough 6–11 year and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2014, even though Travis still put up solid numbers with 76 catches, 851 yards, and five touchdowns.
