Ben Affleck and Matt Damon recently sat down for an interview at Fox 101.9’s Fifi, Fev & Nick, discussing “The Rip,” their recently released movie. During the conversation, the host, Brendan Fevola, playfully pointed out the scene from the movie where Affleck takes his shirt off. He playfully accused Affleck of showcasing his ripped physique for no reason. “Now who would win in a fight? Because Ben, when you took your top off at the start of the show for no reason… Geez, you’re ripped up,” he said.

Damon laughed at the playful accusation, with Affleck instantly defending the shirtless scene, revealing that it was there for a reason. Affleck wittily said, “There was a reason! I want people to see it. I don’t go to the gym for nothing. I’m middle-aged, I’ll take all the…you know. It’s going away. I want it memorialized before it’s gone.” Damon revealed another funny reason why Affleck got shirtless, calling it “an actor’s vanity.” (via US Weekly Magazine)
