Donald Trump’s Granddaughter Clears the Air About Joining Politics

Donald Trump’s eldest granddaughter, Kai Trump, has addressed the ongoing speculation about whether she plans to follow her famous grandfather into politics. The 18-year-old made it clear what her intentions are.

Kai Trump talks about joining politics

Kai Trump addressed the ever-present question of her political future head-on during a conversation on the Impaulsive podcast with host Logan Paul. The high school senior, daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump, expressed a firm desire to remain outside the political arena.

“I would never run” for office, Kai stated. She elaborated on her viewpoint, saying, “I don’t want anything to do with politics because I feel like politics is such a dangerous thing, and I think if both sides met in the middle, everyone would be so much more happier.”

Furthermore, Kai Trump’s take provided a rare glimpse into the perspective of a young adult growing up in one of America’s most prominent political families. She described the current climate as divisive, noting, “There’s radical left, there’s radical right, and there’s a lot of people that get too extreme.” She pointed to social media as a space where moderate voices often get drowned out, leading people to “buy into it too much.”

Trump’s granddaughter’s comments came after Paul asked whether U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris was a rival during the 2024 election, when Harris ran against Donald Trump. Kai responded by downplaying any personal animosity. “There’s no bad blood. I’m very much in the middle and kind of like it is what it is,” she said, while adding that she would naturally support her family.

Kai also spoke about her upbringing, emphasizing that she and her siblings were encouraged to form their own opinions. The daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump said, “My parents have always had us letter our own opinions. Nothing was ever pushed upon us. I just happen to be a granddaughter of the president.”
