Timothee Chalament’s Co-Star Calls him a ‘D***’

Timothée Chalamet’s co-star, Gwyneth Paltrow, had an unusual word of praise for him. Paltrow gushed over working with Chalamet on Variety’s Actors on Actors with Jacob Elordi. Notably, Chalamet and Paltrow will be co-starring in the sports-comedy drama film Marty Supreme.

Timothée Chalamet’s Marty Supreme labels him a ‘d***’ for this reason

Timothée Chalamet’s Marty Supreme co-star Gwyneth Paltrow labelled him “d***” on Variety’s Actors on Actors, but for a good reason. Jacob Elordi praised Chalamet and revealed, “Timothée is incredible in Marty Supreme. He’s brilliant. He’s genuinely unbelievable.”

Continuing further, Elordi said, “And the final frame of him is one of the more devastating things. You’ve worked with some of the greatest male movie stars in the history of cinema. How has that experience—working with someone who is sort of the age of these guys that you worked with in the ’90s?”

Paltrow agreed with Elordi and remarked, “It was great. I wasn’t so familiar with his work either, so I did a little bit of a deep dive. He absolutely blew me away.”

She added, “The bravery around playing somebody with no moral center. Most times when an actor plays someone unlikable, you can see them couching [it] — but he just drives through it. He’s just a d*ck.”

In another interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Iron Man star spoke about romancing Chalamet and how her children reacted to it. She shared, “I mean, my daughter’s so cool and so punk rock that she’s like, ‘Mom, this is awesome!’ And my son was like, ‘Oh my God, I don’t want to see this.’ He was kind of mortified.”

However, she clarified that her children are excited to watch the film and have learned to distinguish between what they see on screen and real life.

Elordi revealed that Chalamet makes him feel good and hopeful about the “state of things.” Marty Supreme is a sports comedy-drama film set during the 1950s. It is co-written, produced, and directed by Josh Safdie. It is loosely based on the American table tennis player Marty Reisman. The film chronicles the life of the ping-pong protégée in pursuit of success and excellence.

Chalamet will essay the role of an aspiring ping-pong champion, Marty Mauser. On the other hand, Paltrow will portray Kay Stone, a retired, affluent actress and socialite who gets involved with a much younger Marty.
