Liam Gallagher has commented on the possibility of an Oasis reunion, saying that the band âshould never have split upâ at the premiere of the Oasis documentary Supersonic.
Liam attended the premiere of the documentary despite Noel being a no-show, with the younger Gallagher saying that the event probably âwasnât f***ing A-list enoughâ for his brother, according to the Mail Online. However, in a separate interview with Sky News, Liam shed some light on where he thinks the future lies for Oasis, stoking the fire of the speculation that the band will soon reunite.
Speaking with the broadcaster, Liam said: âItâs not like I want [Oasis] back⌠it donât feel like itâs split up in my head, dâyou know what I mean? I feel like itâs just our kid having his Kevin Keegan moment.â
He continued: âIf it happens tomorrow, Iâm ready, my bags are packed. If it happens in a year, Iâm still ready. If it happens in ten years, Iâm ready⌠Iâm f***ing ready full stop.â
However, Liam noted that he wouldnât be standing with aâbanjo and a little f***ing skinny, string dog outside [Noelâs] house going âPlease sit! I need a f***ing bandmate'â, so it seems the ball is firmly in Noelâs court as to whether Oasis will reunite.
In the past Noel has said that it would take both Liam and himself âto be very skintâ for an Oasis reunion to ever happen, adding: âI know for a fact that ainât gonna happen.â But unfortunately for Liam, a high-profile divorce with ex-wife Nicole Appleton may have caused him to reconsider his future in the music business, and decide that reforming Oasis may be the wisest move for him to make right now.
