Earlier this month at Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, Lucasfilm hosted an advance screening of “The Siege of Lothal,” the one-hour second season premiere of Star Wars Rebels. Today, Lucasfilm announced when the series would finally be back on Disney XD.
Over at StarWars.com, a press release stated that Star Wars Rebels Season 2 will begin on Saturday, June 20 with the first two episodes of the season as a one-hour TV movie. Having seen the episodes at Celebration, I can say that you’ll see a lot of Darth Vader in the premiere, as once again voiced by James Earl Jones. And the Vader in this show is a villain in his prime.
The bad news is that the rest of Star Wars Rebels Season 2 is being held back for Fall 2015. However, Disney XD will be running a Star Wars Rebels marathon in early May in addition to premiering Star Wars Rebels: The Ultimate Guide on Monday, May 4.
